THE FLY FISHERMAN CLASS SCHEDULES

The Fly Fisherman host a variety of classes and other special events related to fly fishing and light tackle fishing. This page is dedicated to announcing those events. Things change quite often, so be sure to check back every time you visit. If there are any classes that you are interested in, but don't see posted, contact either The Fly Fisherman Store in Orlando or The Fly Fisherman Store in Titusville and talk to them about it.

CASTING INSTRUCTIONS - One on one casting instructions are provided by Captain John Tarr (F.F.F. Certified Casting Instructor) and Gary Henderson. These run $50 per hour and can be scheduled by calling them.
2nd Flip Pallot and Chico Fernandez Fly Fishing School - March 13-14, 2010. Our shop, in conjunction with Hell's Bay Boatworks will be hosting the second fly fishing school by Flip Pallot and Chico Fernandez. This is a two day, all inclusive fly fishing school. Topics will include everything that you want to know about fly fishing - tackle, casting, rigging, fighting fish, rigging a skiff, poling a skiff, travel, photography and several other topics. Learn from the best. Registration is $699/person and includes breakfast, lunch, and two cocktail parties during the school. Class is limited to 16 people and has already started filling up. Casting Instructions with FLIP PALLOT!! - contact John for further details on how you can receive casting instructions from Flip Pallot, of the famous Walker's Cay TV Show.
The Thursday Night Socials have ended. Instead, the Titusville Fly Fisherman will host The Mosquito Lagoon Fly Fishers. This is not your typical club; instead, it is a gathering of people that love to fly fish, tie flies, and teach others. There are no officers and there is no fee to join. The next meetings will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2010 and February 20, 2010. The meetings will start at 5pm, and will take place after normal shop hours. If you are an avid fly fisher, or just someone thinking about taking up this great activity, come join us.
Fly Casting with Jon Cave - The next school is scheduled to begin February 21, 2010. The Orlando Fly Fisherman will be hosting casting classes with Captain Jon Cave (guide, author, published fly tier, and renowned casting instructor). Call the store for upcoming dates.
